• To compensate for the loss of wages of working women and to ensure their proper rest and nutrition.

Benefits of Pradhanmantri Matritva Vandana Yojana – This scheme will benefit pregnant women and lactating mothers during the birth of the first live child. The benefit amount of Matritva Vandana Yojana will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT. According to the report, the government will pay the amount in the following installments.

1st Installment – Rs 1000 at the time of registration of pregnancy.
2nd Installment – Rs 2,000 if the beneficiary undergoes at least one antenatal check-up after six months of pregnancy.
3rd Installment – When the birth of the child is registered and the child starts the first vaccine cycle including BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis-B.

Eligibility / Eligibility Conditions for PM Matritva Vandana Yojana

Eligibility Conditions for Matritva Vandana Yojana 2022 – Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana will not be applicable for low category pregnant women and lactating mothers.

1. Those who are in regular employment with the Central or State Government or any Public Sector Undertaking.
2. Who are the recipients of similar benefits under any other scheme or law.
3. The age of pregnant women applying for the Pregnancy Assistance Scheme should not be less than 19 years.
4. Women who have become pregnant on or after January 1, 2017 will also be considered eligible under this scheme.

The implementation of Matri Vandana Yojana Form will take place between January 2017 and March 2022 and will have a total budget of Rs 12,661 crore. Out of the total Rs 12,661 crore of PM Matritva Vandana Yojana, Rs 7,932 crore will be borne by the central government, while the remaining amount will be borne by the respective state governments.
